John has 41 years of civil engineering experience in project administration, management, and the design and site development for industrial, corporate, military, and aviation facilities. John obtained his pilot license shortly after graduating college, which paved the way for his airport career. His experience with aviation facilities includes both general aviation as well as commercial aviation airports.
Prior to joining RIC, John was responsible for the advancement of the CIP for the Lee’s Summit Municipal Airport. As part of this responsibility, he oversaw land acquisitions, the creation of an airport business plan, and the development of aprons, taxiway, and the extension of the airport’s primary runway.
John and his wife are avid adventurers and recently lived in a small village in South Central France enjoying the food, the wine, and the culture for an entire year. While living abroad, they explored southern France and traveled to Normandy and Brittany in northern France, as well as Barcelona, Venice, England, and Belgium. John keeps up with his French language by taking weekly classes.
