Job Summary

This position supports our Professional Landscape Architect by providing technical and graphic production, site planning, and urban and landscape design. Project experiences will be diverse and will include streetscape, BMP design, monument design, park and recreation for a variety of public and private clients. Typical tasks in this role will include assisting with editing technical plans, details and specifications, site layout and design, landscape plans, concept designs, and other tasks as assigned. We are seeking a creative, motivated and hardworking individual who is eager to learn within a fast-paced and growing work environment.

 

Primary Responsibilities

  • Site/civil development including grading plans
  • Landscape design, land development site plans and subdivisions
  • Code/ordinance research and preparation of feasibility studies
  • Planting design and tabulations
  • Utilizing AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Communicating with the Professional Landscape Architect before, during and after completion of assignments
  • Site calculations
  • Visiting sites and attending meetings
  • Comment response letters
  • Preparing studies, reports, presentation materials, design documents and construction documents
  • Perform site as-built landscaping reviews

 

Requirements

  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D preferred
  • Experience with Sketchup and an understanding of 3D concepts preferred
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite software
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) preferred
  • Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with internal team members
  • Technical knowledge of landscape architectural site development elements and materials
  • Organized and punctual

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in landscape architecture from an accredited university
  • 0-2 years of professional experience
  • Previous internship experience preferred
  • Actively working toward PLA registration
